Veterans in Horror Spotlight 2023: Thomas A. Bradley

Share

Thomas A. Bradley Biography

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I live in Drexel Hill, PA with my wife, Linda, and our rescue German shepherd, Bullet. I served with the Army Medical Corps during Vietnam. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, my Master’s work done in Virology. I have worked for a number of biotech companies.

My short stories have appeared in several magazines, both print and online.

When it comes to writing horror, I prefer to stick to the old-school style rather than the slash and hack. “Allow the imagination to fill in the gaps…the mind can conjure darker better than words.”

Book Recommendation: Blood Tracks, A Vampire Horror Thriller

Timothy, a man awash in self-doubt and plagued by nightmares of the past, turns to the bottle and a life of no responsibility as a hobo, jumping trains and moving from town to town. Unfortunately, no one can escape themselves or their past entirely. For Gabriel Timothy Jacobs, a priest who has lost his faith, that truth must be learned the hard way.

When a dark stranger shows up and expresses an interest in the former priest, his past and future, things begin to unravel, and the tracks that had taken Timothy away from himself have become Blood Tracks.

With the gruesome murder of four railroad authorities – a murder that happens right before his eyes, Timothy finds himself once again immersed in evil, and facing a nemesis that should not exist at all.

The lines are drawn, and Timothy must find a way out of the bottle, find a way to recapture his faith, and summon the strength to once again face an overwhelming darkness.

The battle for soul and survival is on. Fortunately, Gabriel Timothy Jacobs is not alone in the fight. An unknown guardian (sent by an old friend), a couple of Timothy’s hobo chums, and a pair of FBI agents assigned to the murders, must all find a way to defeat an evil that has stalked the night for centuries.
