Applications Checklist

  1. What is my membership category? (choose one)
    Supporting Ally
    Affiliate Writer
    Active Pro Writer

  2. For Affiliate Writer and Active Pro Writer
    I have documents showing I received payment for the qualifying work. The membership committee will contact you for instructions for submitting these. Most members provide screenshots of PayPal or bank statements. Make sure confidential information such as bank account or government ID numbers are blurred or redacted.
    If the name of the qualifying work doesn’t appear on my payment documents, I have a contract for the qualifying work.
    If my qualifying work is self-published, I have spreadsheets from the online seller (Amazon, Square, etc.) that show the title of the qualifying work and the date of sale.
    I am prepared to state the word count of the qualifying work on the membership application.
  3. For Academic Ally
    I have documents or links to academic publications, a website listing my academic affiliation, or a syllabus for a course related to horror or dark literature.
  4. For Associate Ally
    I have letterhead, a brochure, or a website URL that shows I am employed by a qualifying company or organization.
  5. For Supporting Ally
    No documents are needed.
