Michael Knost Biography

Michael Knost is a two-time winner of the Bram Stoker Award® and served in the United States Marine Corps during the mid-1980s. He was the recipient of the Horror Writers Association’s Silver Hammer Award in 2015 for his work as the organization’s mentorship chair. A former HWA trustee, Michael currently serves as the organization’s treasurer and was recognized as the 2021 Mentor of the Year. He also received the prestigious J.U.G. (Just Uncommonly Good) Award from West Virginia Writer’s Inc. His novel Return of the Mothman has recently been filmed as a movie adaption. Michael has taught writing classes and workshops at several colleges, conventions, online, and currently resides in Chapmanville, West Virginia with his wife, daughter, and a zombie goldfish.
