StokerCon® 2023 Update

Share

With StokerCon® 2023 about four months away, we’re excited to let you know of some important updates. Please read through the information carefully to find out more about panel programming, Librarians’ Day, virtual StokerCon options, the Ann Radcliffe Academic Conference, Horror University, and Final Frame!

The Registrant Survey for panel programming and other activities and events will be deployed on or about February 10th. It will go to the same email you used to register for StokerCon 2023.

StokerCon 2023 will be a hybrid convention and include in-person and online programming. Please keep this in mind when filling out your survey.

After you register for StokerCon, you will be sent a confirmation to login to Sched. This is the app where you will be able to see the schedule of events, connect with other attendees, and receive updates and notices about the con.  Make sure you log in and set up your account.  The programming questionnaire will be sent through Sched, and updates during the con will also happen through this tool: https://sched.com/

Tickets for the virtual StokerCon will be available in early March through Hopin. We will send links when this is ready and post it on www.stokercon2023.com. Virtual-only tickets will be $55, and we will also have options listed for both hybrid tickets and tickets with the option to receive the StokerCon Souvenir Anthology.

The Ann Radcliffe Conference will continue under the new leadership of Bridget Keown and Rhonda Jackson Joseph.  Thank you to both of them for ensuring the continuity of this important part of StokerCon. The call for papers is expected to go out soon! We will also post this on the website when it’s ready.

If you are interested in teaching a Horror University class at StokerCon, please use the Submittable link here and indicate specifically that you are interested in teaching at June’s StokerCon:

And finally, submissions for the Final Frame Film Competition are open! This is one of StokerCon’s most popular events, so make sure to join us on Friday, June 16, to view the finalists’ films.

Please read over the guidelines here about deadlines and how to submit a film: https://filmfreeway.com/FinalFrame
