[On Going] Fantastika Journal

Submissions

We invite submissions from all areas of Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Horror, Alternate History, Gothic, Steampunk, Young Adult Dystopic  Fiction, or any other radically imaginative narrative space.

 All submissions must be in English language. We will not consider work that is under submission elsewhere.

Articles

To submit an article for consideration, please send a 5000-7000 word article in doc or docx format to editors@fantastikajournal.com . Please submit a 300 word abstract with a brief (max. 50 words) bionote in a separate documents with your submission.

Articles should adhere to the MLA 8 Style Manual and Fantastika House Style.

All articles are double blind peer reviewed following submission. Editors reserve the right to reject articles before peer review if they are under or over word count, or outside of the Fantastika remit. We do not print previously published material.

If we accept your article for publication, any images that are included in the article must be submitted in separate image files in .jpg or png . They must either have a White #FFFFFF background or trasparant. The files of all images together can be no more than 1MB . All authors are responsibility for acquiring copyright permissions for any image used.


Reviews

If you'd like to write a review of a non-fiction academic book, a conference or event report, or a fiction review of a recently released book, film, or television show that fits the Fantastika perimeters, please contact the Reviews Board at editors@fantastikajournal.com  to arrange a review.

All non-fiction reviews are 1500-2000 words.

All fiction reviews are 1000-1500 words.

Reviews must follow MLA 8 and our house style guide above.

All reviews must be approved by a Reviews Editor before publication. We do not print previously published material.


Conference and Event Reports

If you're organizing or attending an exciting Fantastika-related event, we'd love to publish a report of the event!

Please contact the Publicity Officer at editors@fantastikajournal.com to arrange the report.
