In the year 2212, long after the world was reshaped by seismic cataclysms and polar shifts, Dr. Laurent Stine escorts a half-human, half-cyborg named Angelique Bosc into a fortress named Thames Keep, which is located on Cadaver Island. Their journey to acquire a power source for Angelique’s mechanical heart reaches its final seconds. Can Dr. Stine defeat his archnemesis, Sir Xavier Thames, and obtain a power source for Angelique’s heart before she perishes? Will Persephone enter the Underworld and succumb to the malevolent will of Beelzebub? Several allies, such as King Reginald Bosc and a warrior named Amaya, will guide Dr. Stine into the Underworld to locate Persephone and remove a cursed mask from her face before her soul is lost forever.
