HWA and StokerCon 2019 are pleased to announce that multiple Bram Stoker Award®-winner and Lifetime Achievement Award-winner Linda Addison has agreed to edit the StokerCon 2019 Souvenir Book.
“I treasure all my souvenir books from past conventions,” said Linda. “My first one is from 1995 I-Con XIV (Stony Brook, Long Island) where I collected signatures from Frederik Pohl and Octavia Butler (to name a few).
“Reading the Guestof-Honor interviews and work was always inspiring. Last year Michael Bailey turned the Stoker Con 2018 book into an anthology by adding essays about different areas of writing horror by creators in the field (e.g., “Novels: The Challenge” by Josh Malerman, “Readings” by Tom Monteleone and Jack Ketchum) and lots of artwork.
“When I was asked to be the editor for StokerCon 2019, I knew I wanted to create a book that had an anthology feel to it, like Michael’s, to add to my collection. I’ll be reaching out to all of you for content; that’s what made the StokerCon 2018 anthology special—not the editor but all the writers and artists who contributed. Let’s do this!”
